    Overview

     

    As a Staff Communication Services Engineer, you will be a key player in the design, implementation, and maintenance of critical systems within our broadcast studio environment. You will ensure seamless and reliable delivery of our productions, both live and recorded. You will develop operational procedures for all aspects of our productions, from on-air talent and production crews to control room operations and remote contributors.

    Responsibilities

    + Design, implement, configure, operate and maintain all broadcast--both onset and mobile-- studio offering

    + Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for complex communication issues during live broadcasts, recordings, and pre-production phases.

    + Collaborate with production teams, audio engineers, and IT professionals to integrate communication systems with existing broadcast infrastructure.

    + Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

    + Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in broadcast communication, recommending and implementing upgrades and enhancements as needed.

    + Manage inventory of communication equipment, including ordering, tracking, and maintenance schedules.

    + Train and mentor junior engineers and production staff on the proper use and maintenance of communication systems.

    + Ensure compliance with all relevant standards, regulations and security policies.

    + Deliver polished recordings to studio customers

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Broadcast Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

    + Minimum of 8 years of experience in broadcast engineering

    + Experience with LED walls for production.

    + Ability to operate/troubleshoot an SDI workflow.

    + Working knowledge of Dante and analog audio.

    + Experience with Yamaha QL1 and DM7 audio mixer.

    + Experience with Shure wireless lavalier & handheld mics, wireless IFB, shotgun mics and Wireless Workbench

    + Expertise in studio lighting technology such as Arri, Aputure, Amaran, Lightgear, Lightmat, lighting systems, DMX protocol

    + Thorough knowledge of RTMP and cloud video services such as, Zoom, Zoom Webinar and Streamyard

    + Expertise in SDI, NDI and SRT technologies

    + Expertise in Blackmagic Design technologies such as Teranex standards conversion, 4K web presenter, cloud storage and media management, cameras and routers, RK ATEM, 4ME, ATEM CCU

    + Camera expertise - BMD, Sony, prime and zoom lenses and tripod systems

    + Teleprompter setup and operation.

    + SDI video routing workflow and operation.

    + Tricaster TC2 programming and operation.

    + Advanced Adobe and DaVinci editing workflows

    + Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues under pressure.

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

    + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
