Job Description
Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled RF Engineer II with a strong background in satellite communications and digital service activation. This role involves hands-on technical work, remote monitoring, and customer support in a 24/7 operational environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience and be comfortable working independently during rotational shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform testing and diagnostics on satellite and network equipment in accordance with published standards and specifications.
• Use RF and digital test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment to analyze, interpret, troubleshoot, document, and activate services.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures to ensure consistent and effective workflow execution.
• Monitor vendor activities and conduct remote surveillance of other teleports.
• Analyze network anomalies and manage customer issues through established escalation procedures.
• Maintain service levels and take corrective actions as needed.
• Assemble, install, configure, and test satellite and network equipment including amplifiers, modems, routers, switches, and multiplexers, along with associated cabling and wiring.
• Coordinate circuit testing and activation with internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with government, international, and domestic customers to ensure optimal service delivery.
• Operate site independently during scheduled and rotational shifts, including on-call and emergency coverage.
• Commission terminals for both iDirect and Newtec networks.
• Manage multiple hubs supporting critical customer services.
• Initiate emergency restoration procedures during commercial power failures.
• Foster strong working relationships with internal and external teams to ensure timely task completion.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Requirements
• Minimum 3 years of experience in RF engineering with a focus on satellite systems.
• Proficiency in RF testing tools and diagnostic equipment (spectrum analyzer, power meter, signal generator, etc)
• Strong understanding of satellite communication principles and hardware.
Experience with iDirect or Newtec equipment • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering
• IP routing knowledge
