    Duties Description Under the direction of the Regional Park Maintenance Supervisor, SG-18, or designee, the incumbent will be assigned to the Regional Paint Shop. Duties will include, but are not limited to: • Assist painters with preparation and execution of painting/staining tasks.• Assist painters with the layout and installation of pavement markings.• Power wash or otherwise clean buildings and structures. • Assist carpenters with unskilled or semi-skilled general construction and roofing duties.• Provide general labor to support skilled trades staff. • Perform routine preventative maintenance on all assigned hand and power tools.• Maintain daily activity reports along with other required records.

     

    Minimum Qualifications There are no minimum qualifications for this title per Civil Service.See additional comments for operational needs.

     

    Additional Comments OPERATIONAL NEEDS:• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license that allows the candidate to legally operate a motor vehicle in New York State as a term and condition of employment.• Must be physically able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.• Must be comfortable working from ladders and lift/bucket trucks. • Must be able to work outside in all types of weather.
