The ancestors of the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation existed many centuries ago as a community of people…a Tribe living together, farming, hunting and fishing to survive.

Much has changed since that time. Today the Sycuan Tribe governs its Reservation, owns and operates a Casino and a Golf Resort, and owns a number of other business ventures in the San Diego Region.

Job Purpose:

Provides ice and stocks supplies in drink stations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

(Note: Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted or changed at the sole discretion of Sycuan Management at any time.)

+ Ensures adequate supply of ice in drink stations by delivering ice and filling beverage machines.

+ Ensures beverage stations are stocked and clean by completing and submitting supply requisitions; placing delivered water, cups, and condiments in beverage stations, ice machines, and counters; removing cardboard and trash; and sweeping and mopping drink station area floors according to established procedures.

+ Promotes guest relations by greeting guests in a friendly and courteous manner, offering appropriate information , product knowledge, knowledge of up to date promotional contests, and giveaways, and giving any needed assistance.

Education and Experience:

Essential:

+ County of San Diego Food Handler Card

Desirable:

+ Guest or Hospitality Service experience

+ Concession experience

+ Casino experience

Skills and Knowledge:

Essential:

+ Ability to interact effectively with guests and team members

+ Ability to stand and walk for up to eight hours at a time

+ Ability to complete forms and documents

+ Ability to appear for work on time

+ Ability to work in a smoking environment

+ Ability to communicate effectively in the English language

+ Ability to maintain professionalism and composure

+ Ability to understand verbal directives and written instructions

+ Ability to accept constructive criticism

+ Ability to routinely lift and carry 50 pounds

+ Ability to bend, stoop, push and pull
