Job Title: Distribution PlannerJob Description
Lead the technical execution of complex electric distribution engineering projects, mentor junior engineers, and deliver innovative solutions to enhance grid reliability and resiliency.
Responsibilities
+ Lead the design and preparation of technical reports for overhead and underground electric distribution systems.
+ Provide expert consultation on complex technical issues.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams on advanced technical projects.
+ Develop discipline work plans and ensure that projects meet budget and schedule requirements.
+ Mentor junior engineers and review their technical work.
+ Support the development of proposals and client presentations.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
+ Minimum of 10 years of progressive engineering experience
+ Professional Engineer (PE) License
+ Advanced knowledge in CYME, SCL Devices, Syncrowave, Utility plans, and Distribution engineering
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Expertise in Volt-VAR optimization, power quality, and protection coordination
+ Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures and engineering laws
+ Leadership and communication skills
+ Experience with AutoCAD and Revit
Work Environment
This is a 100% fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in the US. Time zones are flexible, provided you can accommodate meetings or virtual calls as needed. The role requires a standard 40-hour workweek.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Albany, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $72.00/hr.
