    Job Title: Swiss CNC Lathe Machinist

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Swiss CNC Lathe Machinist with extensive hands-on experience in operating and maintaining CNC lathe equipment. The role involves producing high-precision components, working with metals and plastics, and ensuring parts meet tight tolerances. The ideal candidate will be proficient in reading blueprints and specifications, demonstrating strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.

    Responsibilities

    + Setup and run Swiss CNC Screw machines to maintain high quality, tight tolerance machined parts, including changing/editing programming and tooling.

    + Monitor multiple Swiss CNC machines in production.

    + Document actions by completing production and quality logs.

    + Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

    + Perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment, following manufacturer's guidelines.

    + Conduct in-process and final quality checks.

    + Troubleshoot machining issues to ensure efficient production with minimal waste.

    + Provide feedback and suggestions to management for continuous improvement.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in reading, editing, and changing NC code (G&M code).

    + Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.

    + Good mechanical skills and inclination.

    + Punctuality, a positive mindset, and teamwork skills.

    + Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.

    + Skilled communication in a team environment.

    + Ability to work in a time-sensitive environment.

    + Willingness to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.

    + 2+ years technical degree or equivalent work experience.

    + Minimum 5 years’ experience setting up and operating multi-Axis (Swiss) machines.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Prior experience in ISO-9001 and/or AS-9100 certification environments.

    + Strong leadership potential.

    + Experience with Exact Job Boss, Unipoint, and GAL6 software systems.

    Work Environment

     

    Work a regular shift from Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 3:00pm, in a dynamic and fast-paced production environment.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Olympia, WA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $93600.00/yr.
