Job Title: Processor

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of food processing machines. You will handle raw materials, maintain logs, operate machinery, and perform quality checks to ensure the production of high-quality products.

Responsibilities

+ Physically load raw materials such as spices, sugars, and seasonings into machines.

+ Keep both paper and electronic logs of materials fed into machines.

+ Operate machines to ensure products are processed for the correct run time.

+ Perform quality checks on products as they come out of the machines and are fed into containers.

+ Mix finished products to maintain the highest quality, adhering to established formulas.

+ Monitor production needs and perform deck set-up for daily schedules.

+ Operate equipment to assist in processing formulas.

+ Use local control panels to manage the addition of all metered and manually added ingredients.

+ Transfer batches as necessary.

+ Lift up to 50 pounds as part of the job responsibilities.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in food manufacturing and processing.

+ Ability to operate processing machines.

+ Knowledge of GMP and HACCP standards.

+ Skills in quality control.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Related experience in food processing is preferred but not required.

+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and standard operating procedures in English.

+ Possess math skills needed to verify quantities of ingredients.

Work Environment

You will join a dynamic team in a fast-paced food processing environment. The role involves working around machinery, where the area may become wet due to sanitation processes. Hearing protection is required due to the constant hum of the machines. The environment fosters collaboration and safety, emphasizing adherence to established procedures and standards.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chambersburg, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.81 - $22.81/hr.
