SENIOR ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST – Live Production – WILLMAR CORPORATE (WILLMAR, MN)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Enters WEM usage and pricing daily into Red River and MTech systems to ensure accurate feed production and cost tracking.
+ Processes accounts payable invoices for outside feed purchases and enters corresponding feed deliveries into the inventory system to ensure accurate cost tracking.
+ Creates and issues accurate feed sales billings by preparing detailed invoices, validating pricing and quantities, and ensuring all accounts receivable activities are completed promptly
+ Completes month-end duties including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
+ Serves as the primary accounting contact for Feed Mill staff by addressing inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and providing guidance on accounting processes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
+ Discipline, forward thinking and self-motivated.
+ Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
+ Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
+ Able to prioritize and organize workload.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Preferred:
+ A two-year degree or more than 2 years’ experience in related accounting discipline.
+ Experience running reports and trouble shooting from various systems to get desired result.
At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $21.00 - $29.25 per hour, and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
