SENIOR ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST – WILLMAR CORPORATE (WILLMAR, MN)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The person in this position:
+ Provides vacation relief for three hourly employees in the Willmar Corporate Supply Chain Cost Accounting department for all inventory-related activities, payables, and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure proper asset accountability and valuation at company warehouses and 3rd party warehouses.
+ Performs QAD G/L balancing and reconciliation of customer claims activities.
+ Provides reporting on various inventory activities and G/L accounts.
+ Prepares balance sheet reconciliations and journal vouchers for various expense accruals and reclasses.
+ Performs other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
+ One year post high school education in accounting or equivalent experience
+ Experience with computers and ability to learn and use custom computer programs
+ Demonstrated computer proficiency including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
+ Demonstrated strong organizational skills
+ Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Demonstrated attention to detail
+ Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
+ Oracle Cloud experience
+ QAD experience
+ DataServ experience
+ Familiarity with accounting practices
At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $21.00 - $29.25 per hour, and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
