Director of Human Resources

Full Time Position

Brothers of Mercy Wellness Campus located east of Buffalo consistently ranks on WNYs Best Places to Work list. The campus consists of the Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, Sacred Heart Home Assisted Living, Montabaur Heights Luxury Apartments, and the Apartment Complex.

Our Director of Human Resources plans, coordinates and manages all functions of the Human Resources Department. Plans and develops a Human Resources program in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations to assure that quality personnel are interviewed, trained, employed and retained. The Director of Human Resources acts as a consultant to management staff.

We are always looking for positive, dependable, caring individuals to join our team to meet the growing demand in our community for quality care. Director of Human Resources duties include:

+ Plans and develops the techniques and procedures for recruitment, pre-employment screening, hiring, orientation and training, wage and benefit administration, organizational and management development.

+ Interprets policies and regulations to new employees and others as required.

+ Establishes uniform employment procedures and confers with department heads and supervisors to discuss improvement of working relationships and conditions.

+ Prepares and updates Paycom, Employee Handbook, job descriptions, etc.

+ Acts as a liaison between staff members and administrative staff. Investigates causes of disputes and recommends corrective action.

+ Administers benefit services and other programs, including health and life insurance plans, flexible benefits, vacation and leave policies and others.

+ Monitors and reporting for workers compensation claims and assist facility with reducing lost time

+ Manages the employee leave process (PFL,FMLA,DBL,WC)

+ Monitors and coordinates employee disciplinary procedures and separations from employment both voluntary and involuntary to assure correct documentation and proper procedures are maintained.

+ Assure that campus stays in compliance with CHRC regulations.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications- Graduate of a four (4) year degree program in Business Administration, Human Resource Management or related field. Five (5) years of experience in Human Resource Administration in a health care or service industry, at least two of which are in a management/supervisory capacity.
