Job Description

As a Senior Accountant, you will oversee the preparation of financial statements and related tasks, including journal entries, variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, audit workpapers, tax filings, and special projects. You will develop and maintain accounting procedures, design and update reports across various systems, and manage special billing functions while supporting system upgrades. This role requires analyzing complex issues, exercising sound judgment, and making decisions that safeguard financial integrity. You will collaborate with managers and staff to clarify issues, research solutions, and provide actionable recommendations, ensuring follow-up and implementation. Additionally, you will identify opportunities for improvement, maintain consistent workflows, and meet both routine and non-routine deadlines. Working across departments, you will coordinate projects, organize workflows, and align departmental goals, serving as a key liaison between the Controller and other teams.

Skills and Requirements

1. Bachelors' Degree or relevant experience - ideally in Finance or Accounting

2. 3+ years' of experience within accounting tax background

3. IDEALLY healthcare experience or touched on healthcare

4. Enterprise accounting experience - supporting over 3000 employees
