    Please review the following job description:

    The primary purpose of this role is to create and maintain strong relationships with both suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration across the supply chain. This includes having a comprehensive understanding of Truist’s key strategic suppliers and enterprise-wide strategy to collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure we: manage and improve the performance of suppliers; manage and mitigate the inherit risk of supplier relationships; leverage supplier innovations; support internal programs and strategies (cost savings, balance of trade, sustainability, small business inclusion and supplier recognition). The role requires attendance at key supplier service review meetings and understanding of suppliers’ performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs). As a key point of contact for any supplier escalations or opportunities, this position ensures that supplier concerns are addressed, fostering continuous improvement and alignment with business objectives.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Partner with the business and sourcing management to understand and bring awareness to enterprise-wide supplier service contracts, deliverables and core services ensuring continued high levels of value and quality in service delivery and potential for concentration risk.

    2. Collaborate with the business, sourcing and other internal stakeholders to determine areas where supplier innovation could be optimized for maximum benefit.

    3. Act as key contact for the business and supply chain to assist with coordination to drive synergies between key strategic suppliers and internal teams.

    4. Participate and providing guidance and thought leadership in internal and third-party service review meetings (quarterly business reviews) covering performance, service improvements, quality and processes.

    5. Provide expertise to help suppliers improve their performance.

    6. Educate and train stakeholders on the supplier relationship management processes and garner support and active participation.

    7. Develop and manage supplier dashboards and reports to show the entire supplier relationship status and KPIs.

    8. Assist with building out and managing our supplier recognition program.

    9. Assist and advocate our internal strategies to ensure suppliers are supporting our PMV and supplier code of conduct through their small business inclusion (Tier2), corporate responsibility/sustainability and other community development practices.

    10. Attend and participate in industry events and other programs to identify and network with suppliers for consideration in the Truist supply chain.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Required Qualifications:

    1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or equivalent education and related training.

    2. 8-12 years of supplier relationship management experience.

    3. Knowledgeable and experienced with supporting and providing expertise to benefit initiatives that involve procurement, strategic sourcing, contract management, supplier segmentation, supplier development.

    4. In office expectation of 4 days/week (Office-centric workstyle) in either Atlanta or Charlotte.

    5. Ability to build, and maintain sustainable, solid, positive and professional working relationships internally and externally.

    6. Organized and self-motivated individual, with strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal and relationship management skills.

    7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, in-person and written) demonstrating the ability to effectively and thoughtfully communicate, build credibility and trust with all levels of management.

    8. Has demonstrated strong Change Leader abilities and skills to effectively drive and manage change and navigate effectively through a matrixed organization.

    9. Strong analytical and organizational skills and extensive experience designing, developing, implementing and executing a supplier relationship management program.

    10. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to shared goals.

    11. Superior project management skills including the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently using project management tools and resources.

    13. Advanced user of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PPT, etc..).

    14. Curious and prolific user of supply chain related databases, platforms and tools.

    15. Advanced reporting and presentation skills.

     

    This position will be 5 days in office January 2026.

    1. Master’s degree in a business-related field.

    2. Ten years of experience in the financial services industry.
