    Job Description

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Drafting Technician to support our manufacturing operations. This role will focus on preparing, correcting, and updating print files and technical drawings to ensure accuracy and alignment with production standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in printmaking, CAD software, and document control within a manufacturing environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Review and revise technical drawings and print files for accuracy and completeness.

    + Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure prints meet manufacturing specifications.

    + Make corrections to existing drawings based on feedback or design changes.

    + Prepare and format print files for production use, ensuring clarity and consistency.

    + Maintain organized records of revisions and version control.

    + Assist in converting hand-drawn sketches or outdated prints into digital formats.

    + Support document control processes and ensure compliance with internal standards.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Solidworks, or similar).

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

    + Experience in manufacturing documentation.

    + Familiarity with printmaking processes.

    + Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

    + Experience with ERP or document management systems.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

     

    Work Environment

     

    The role involves a mix of manufacturing floor and office work, providing an opportunity to experience both environments.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Turners Falls, MA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
