    Job Title: Facilities Technician

    Job Description

    As a Facilities Technician, you will maintain a thorough understanding of building systems and operations. You will serve as the primary contact for building issues, ensuring a smooth and efficient resolution of any climate control, odor, smoke, spill, damage, emergency, or repair concerns. Your role involves creating and managing work orders, performing maintenance tasks on both the interior and exterior of buildings, and monitoring facility and equipment conditions to recommend improvements.

    Responsibilities

    + Create and manage work orders from phone, email, or verbal requests.

    + Perform maintenance tasks such as painting, minor construction, repairs, and equipment installation.

    + Monitor and recommend maintenance or improvements for facility and equipment conditions.

    + Maintain and order supplies, tools, and inventory for building equipment.

    + Perform plumbing fixture repairs and replacements as needed.

    + Conduct re-lamping, repairs, and replacements of electrical fixtures, devices, and appliances.

    + Carry out carpentry work to repair windows, doors, hardware, screens, and furniture.

    + Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

    + Transport goods or equipment as required.

    + Order small tools and materials for work order completion.

    + Assist in preventive maintenance programs and facilities inspections.

    + Oversee building cleanliness and the performance of Technicians I & II.

    + Perform additional maintenance duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + Electrical, plumbing, and mechanical skills

    + Preventive maintenance and troubleshooting

    + Minimum of 3 years of experience in plumbing and electrical work

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Excellent customer service experience

    This is a Contract position based out of San Jose, CA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.70/hr.

    Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
