Job Title: Skilled Laborer
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled laborer to assist with a project based in Damariscotta, ME at the Lincoln Health-Miles Campus. The job involves renovating the third floor of the hospital to eventually become a new oncology wing.
Responsibilities
+ Assist the site superintendent with various tasks.
+ Patch holes in drywall.
+ Perform light carpentry work.
+ Maintain site cleanliness as necessary.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in general labor and construction.
+ Proficiency in carpentry, framing, and drywall work.
+ Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
+ Attention to detail and ability to work with limited supervision.
+ Ability to read blueprints and perform finish work.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 1 to 2 years of experience in construction in a similar role.
+ Ability to operate basic hand and power tools with limited training.
+ Openness to learning and taking ownership of duties for the superintendent.

Work Environment
You will work in a hospital setting alongside another team member managing the project. The dress code requires steel-toed boots and proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. As the hospital remains open during the renovation, maintaining a respectful and presentable demeanor is essential.

This is a Contract position based out of Damariscotta, ME.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
