    Swiss CNC Lathe Machinist

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Swiss CNC Lathe Machinist with hands-on experience in operating and maintaining CNC lathe equipment to produce high-precision components. The ideal candidate should be proficient in reading blueprints and specifications, working with metals and plastics, and consistently delivering parts that meet tight tolerances.

    Responsibilities

    + Setup and run Swiss CNC Screw machines to maintain high-quality, tight tolerance machined parts, including changing/editing programming, changing tooling, and ensuring the machine is running properly.

    + Monitor multiple Swiss CNC machines in production.

    + Document actions by completing production and quality logs.

    + Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

    + Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and following manufacturer's guidelines.

    + Provide feedback and suggestions to management for continuous improvement of the company.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in Swiss Lathe, CNC Lathe, CNC Program Editing, CNC machining, and CNC setup.

    + Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.

    + Good mechanical skills and inclination.

    + Methodical approach to reading, editing, and changing NC code (G&M code).

    + Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.

    + Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a highly motivated team environment.

    + Minimum 4-5 years of experience setting up and operating multi-Axis (Swiss) CNC equipment.

    + 2- years technical degree (or apprenticeship certificate) or equivalent work experience.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Prior experience in ISO-9001 and/or AS-9100 certification environments is a plus.

    + Strong leadership potential is highly desirable.

    + Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.

    + Experience with work order software.

    Work Environment

     

    The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 3:00 pm. Technologies used include Exact Job Boss, Unipoint, and GAL6. The company fosters a collaborative and dynamic work environment with opportunities for personal and professional growth.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Olympia, WA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $93600.00/yr.
