Description Litigation Attorney

Position Summary:

We are a rapidly growing law firm seeking a highly motivated and Illinois Bar licensed associate personal injury lawyer to handle a large and growing docket of cases. We are looking for candidates that are experienced (3+ years) personal injury and/or nursing home lawyers. Familiarity with discovery and litigation and excellent research and writing skills required.

This position will primarily entail handling all aspects of pre-litigation and litigation personal injury cases along with managing a staff member(s) working with the lawyer on the cases.

The lawyer will be supported by skilled legal assistant(s) who will help lead client communications, prepare documents, and all demands related to your cases. Overall organization and attention to detail are necessary to this position along with the willingness and ability to regularly interact with clients, adjusters, and other lawyers/paralegals over the phone and in person. Excellent communication (verbal and written), computer, analytical, and initiative are all essential skills.

You will be a part of a fast-paced team environment and will have all the needed support to allow you to grow as a lawyer and to focus on the proper workup of your cases in preparation for settlement or litigation.

Work Locations:

Primary locations are Springfield or Bloomington. However, other office locations served and are an option for this opening include: Champaign, Decatur, Macomb, Quincy, and Rushville Illinois. Remote work may be an option for the right person(s), at a minimum during COVID.

The position offers a competitive salary along with full benefits, including health dental, vision, FSA, paid time off, and 401(k). Requirements • Licensed to practice law in Illinois and in good standing with the Illinois Bar.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury and/or nursing home litigation.

• Proven expertise in civil litigation, including discovery and case management.

• Strong skills in legal research, writing, and drafting motions and briefs.

• Ability to manage multiple cases effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with clients and team members.

• Demonstrated ability to align with organizational values and inspire others through consistent performance.

• Familiarity with personal injury law and a track record of delivering favorable case outcomes.
