Senior Fragrance Development Manager, Fine Fragrance, Perfumery & Beauty – New York, NY

As a Senior Fragrance Development Manager, Fine Fragrance, you’ll be at the heart of this creative journey, partnering with world-class perfumers and global brands to craft scents that leave a lasting impression.
Your Key Responsibilities:
+ Develop iconic fragrances for mutual success of dsm-firmenich and clients’ brands
+ Partner, guide and support all Fine Fragrance perfumers by bringing them: consumer trends and data, cross-category information, client white space opportunities, creative idea inspirations, and collection starting points
+ Select submissions adapted to brief parameters and provide rationale and feed collection with updated and strategically selected ideas
+ Incorporate and leverage maximum use of internal tools to practice informed creation, such as Consumer Insights and Technical Innovation tools
+ Detect and forecast future olfactive and product trends, including cross-category, with eye towards Prestige, Fine Fragrance
+ Participate in account strategy definition and execution; Lead client presentations on olfactive strategy

You Bring:
+ Minimum of 7 years’ experience
+ Proven leadership, communication, teamwork and project management skills
+ Passion for fragrance, curiosity, and a growth mindset
+ Experience with specialty retail or cross-category fragrance development is a plus
+ French language skills are a bonus, but not required
+ Bachelor’s degree required, Advanced degree a plus
The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Salary $128,000-170,000.
In addition to base salary, we also offer a comprehensive total rewards package, inclusive of annual incentive pay, a retirement savings plan, health care coverage, paid time off, recognition programs and a broad range of other benefits. All benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements.
