Position Summary
Assist in all aspects of course sections taught online and/or in person at the Mountain Campus. Some days can be long, and some duties are on some weekends.
Session 1: May 18 – June 14 (teaching online and/or in-person)
Session 2: June 15 – July 12 (teaching in-person)
Session 3: July 13 – Aug 9 (teaching in-person)
PLEASE NOTE : Due to the nature of this job, you will not have time to do research, write a thesis, or commute frequently to town when at the Mountain Campus.
Position Minimum Qualifications
• Enthusiasm for teaching and learning.
Preferred Qualifications
• Preference given to graduate, or upper-level undergraduate, students at Colorado State University in the Warner College of Natural Resources who have completed NR 220 or know the material.
• Knowledge of field sampling methods (forestry, fish/wildlife, range, watershed, human dimensions);
• Plant/animal identification skills;
• Experience with computers, software (e.g., Office, Canvas), working in online and in-person courses;
• Experience with compasses, maps, and GPS ;
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills;
• Able to perform field work at elevations up to 11,500 feet above sea level;
• A valid driver’s license.
• First-aid training;
• Ability to attend a few online organization meetings prior to summer.
