**Job Purpose or Objective(s):** The IT Architect’s role is to develop and maintain the high-level design plan for the overall logical and technical architecture. This individual will provide technical leadership and consulting across the organization, from strategic decision making down to team member enrollment and the project planning level. The IT Architect will gain organizational commitment and departmental buy-in for all high-level application plans, initiates and participates in projects to evaluate technologies and methods for implementing these plans.
Primary Tasks:
1. Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to create and maintain the enterprise’s application architecture designs. Some barriers to entry exist at this level (e.g., dept/peer review).
2. Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.
3. Provide application architectural consulting expertise, direction, and assistance to Systems and Networking Managers, Systems Analysts, Systems Engineers, Network engineers and other Architects.
4. Develop, document, communicate, and enforce an application and technology standards policy.
5. Develop and manage an application roadmap.
6. Leads projects and is expected to solve problems working across departments
7. Develops or assists in the development of IT policy
8. Review new and existing Commerce IT projects, systems design, and procurement/outsourcing plans for compliance with IT standards and architectural plans.
9. Develop, document, make recommendations, and communicate plans for investing in Commerce IT applications, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities and ability to integrate systems
10. Other duties as assigned
Required Education, Skills and Experience:
MINIMUM
+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
+ Superb spoken and written communications skills
+ Effective customer service skills
+ Ability to perform complex tasks using independent judgment and critical thinking
+ Extensive experience designing and managing Gaming, Hospitality or POS Systems
+ Knowledge of Application design principles and practice, TOGAF certification level 1 is highly desired
+ Superior written and oral communication skills
+ Good knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
+ Must be comfortable working in an accountable and deadline-oriented environment and maintain flexible working hours
+ 6-7 years of IT experience managing Gaming, Hospitality or POS systems based on client/server or service-oriented architecture (SOA) environment, including hands-on experience with technical architecture, application development, middleware, databased management and operations.
TARGET
+ Master’s degree in computer science or related field

+ Strong knowledge of Application design principles and practice
+ TOGAF Certification level 1 is required with level 2 also highly desired
+ Superior written and oral communication skills
+ Expert knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
+ Expert knowledge of core enterprise applications, including Gaming, Hospitality and POS Systems.
+ 10 years of IT experience in Gaming or Hospitality systems based on client/server or service-oriented architecture (SOA) environment, including hands-on experience with technical architecture, application development, middleware, databased management and operations.
