Position Summary
Develop and implement Brandt’s quality control/quality assurance program. Plan, coordinate and inspect construction-related processes and materials to ensure compliance with contract specifications and regulatory standards.
Position Details
+ Conduct regular walk-through inspections on Brandt construction sites and/or fabrication facilities.
+ Evaluate and ensure conformance and compliance with contractual specifications, government regulations, and Brandt and OSHA safety requirements.
+ Inspect manufactured products, on-site materials/equipment and installation processes to ensure compliance with contract specifications and regulatory standards.
+ Document and communicate inspection results. Identify and recommend solutions for non-compliant situations. Follow through to ensure 100% compliance and conformance.
+ Direct the development or implementation of compliance-related policies and procedures required of each jobsite.
+ Disseminate written policies and procedures related to compliance activities. Interpret specifications and clarify procedural issues for worker.
+ Assist with determining the necessary installation technique(s).
+ Develop and implement job-specific QA/QC program prior to each project start-up. Schedule and attend all project coordination meetings.
+ Provide QA/QC feedback for each phase of the project.
+ Interpret specifications and clarify procedural issues for workers.
+ Verify that all contractual and regulatory policies and procedures have been documented, implemented, and communicated.
+ Assess product, compliance, or operational risks.
+ Assist with the development of risk management strategies.
+ Design or implement improvements in communication, monitoring, or enforcement of compliance standards.
+ Ensure the maintenance and submittal or appropriate and timely compliance reports, as contractually required.
+ Maintain logs and supplemental records with photographs.
+ Discuss violations and potential stop-work orders with project management and supervision.
+ Explain regulations and recommend rectification. Train, direct and/or oversee subcontractor compliance as necessary.
+ Perform additional assignments as requested/needed.
Qualifications
+ High school degree or equivalent; some advanced education and technical training highly desirable
+ Extensive (5-8 years) craft and/or construction management experience.
+ Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, processes, and methods)
+ Thorough knowledge of company policies, procedures and standards
+ Advanced knowledge and understanding of OSHA regulations as well as company safety policies and procedures OSHA-30 certification (if not currently certified, must be obtained within six (6) months from date of hire)
+ Strong oral and written communication skills
+ Ability to identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems before major difficulties develop.
+ Outstanding scheduling and auditing skills Solid MS Office skills and ability/desire to learn new software
+ Excellent communication, organizational, supervisory and planning skills
+ Employment is contingent upon satisfying all jobsite-specific access requirements, with no outstanding restrictions on any jobsite or from working with any of Brandt’s partnering General Contractors, Owners, Customers, etc.
