We are looking for a Power Protection Trainer. This position will be based in Wendell, NC.

As a Power Protection Trainer, you will design, own, and deliver high-impact training that empowers customers and internal teams to confidently and successfully operate Siemens protection solutions. This is a hands-on, visible role with substantial autonomy: you’ll lead course design, own delivery quality, and shape learning paths to meet our customers’ training needs.

Training is primarily delivered at the Wendell Power Academy. Occasional customer-site and virtual sessions will be required, with travel estimated at 10%. This role is ideal for a technical educator who is energized by developing others, wants to scale their impact, and helps shape a growing training and business organization.

    You’ll make an impact by:

+ **Training Delivery** : Deliver high-quality, instructor-led, and hands-on lab training on Siemens protection relays, DIGSI tools, and protection & automation fundamentals.

+ **Course Development** : Create and maintain modular courseware (slides, labs, simulations, quizzes, and job-aids) for classroom, virtual, and blended learning.

+ **Hands-on Learning** : Deliver high-quality, instructor-led, and hands-on lab training on Siemens protection relays, DIGSI tools, and protection & automation fundamentals.

+ **Customer Engagement** : Understand customer needs and tailor training programs to meet specific requirements, ensuring that participants gain relevant knowledge applicable to their job roles.

+ **Collaborate with Experts:** Regularly connect with Product Lifecycle Managers, engineering, services, and sales to keep content aligned with product updates and customer needs.

+ **Customer Site Training** : Offer training sessions at customer sites, including travel to different locations as needed.

+ **Feedback and Assessment** : Regularly review participant feedback and training KPIs (satisfaction, retention, pass rates, field impact) and proactively update course materials, labs, and delivery methods to improve training quality and outcomes continuously.

+ **Mentor and Coach:** Prepare substitute trainers or subject-matter experts supporting training activities.

+ **Continuous Learning** : Stay updated with the latest advancements in power distribution technology, industry standards, and best practices to ensure the training content remains current and relevant.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

    Basic Qualifications:

The Power Protection Trainer role requires a combination of technical expertise, teaching skills, and strong interpersonal abilities.

+ **Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering**

+ **Technical Proficiency:** Deep technical expertise and professional experience in high- and medium-voltage protection technology and principles (protection & automation fundamentals, relay coordination, fault analysis). Proficiency with Siemens DIGSI tools and/or secondary test equipment (Omicron, Doble, Megger), and practical lab experience required.

    + **Ability to travel 10%**

+ **Passion for Developing Others:** Can translate complex technical concepts into clear, role-based learning outcomes.

+ **Communication/Interpersonal Skills:** Excellent verbal and written presentation skills.

+ **Customer-focused and Adaptable:** Skilled at customizing learning for diverse audiences and operational contexts.

+ **Digital/AI Curiosity:** Willing to experiment with digital learning tools and help expand e-learning or blended offerings.

+ **Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization—with the exception of current Siemens employees, for whom work authorization support may be provided.**
