Job Description
A client of Insight Global is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join their team. This role involves supporting and optimizing a complex, multi-site network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in routing/switching, load balancing, and firewall technologies, along with strong troubleshooting capabilities using a variety of network tools. This position requires advanced knowledge of platforms such as Arista EOS, F5, Infoblox, and Palo Alto, and a solid grasp of routing protocols like BGP and OSPF. Candidates with experience in network automation and Python scripting are highly preferred. Strong leadership and mentoring abilities are essential for success in this role.

Skills and Requirements
• 5+ years of core networking experience in routing and switching
• Advanced understanding of load balancing technologies
• Tier 3 support experience with DHCP/DNS and firewalls
• 3+ years working with complex, high-performance networks across multiple sites
• Advanced knowledge of Arista EOS, F5 load balancers, Infoblox, or Palo Alto firewalls
• Strong understanding of BGP and OSPF routing protocols
• Experience troubleshooting with tools like Ekahau, packet capture, NetFlow, NetMRI, Splunk, Endace, CA Spectrum, Thousand Eyes
• Excellent leadership, mentoring, problem-solving, and communication skills Plusses:
• Advanced knowledge of network design, operation, or automation
• Strong Python skills for automation and integration
• Multicast expertise
