    Introduction

     

    IBM is seeking a curious and hands-on Entry-Level Ecosystem Engineer to help bridge the gap between our cutting-edge AI technologies and the tools developers use every day. In this role, you’ll build integrations, sample applications, and developer experiences that connect IBM’s AI offerings with popular frameworks like Hugging Face, LangChain, and Ollama.

    Your role and responsibilities

     

    Build Integrations: Develop connectors, plugins, and wrappers that integrate IBM AI services with widely used developer tools and frameworks.

     

    Create Sample Applications: Design and implement example apps that demonstrate real-world use cases of IBM AI technologies.

     

    Support Developer Workflows: Identify common developer patterns and build solutions that simplify adoption of IBM offerings.

     

    Collaborate Across Teams: Work with Developer Advocates, Product Managers, and Engineering teams to align on priorities and deliver high-impact solutions.

     

    Surface Developer Needs: Gather feedback from developers and communities to inform product improvements, documentation updates, and new integration opportunities.

     

    Contribute to Open Source: Participate in open source projects and contribute code, documentation, and issue triage where relevant.

    Required technical and professional expertise

    * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

    * Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, TypeScript).

    * Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and frameworks such as Hugging Face Transformers, LangChain, or Ollama.

    * Experience building APIs, SDKs, or developer tools.

    * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

    * Passion for hands-on learning

    * Experience with open source AI projects and developer communities

    Preferred technical and professional experience

    * Experience with IBM AI platforms (e.g., watsonx, IBM Cloud).

    * Familiarity with containerization (Docker), cloud services, and CI/CD workflows.

    * Contributions to open source projects or developer communities.

    * Understanding of RESTful APIs and integration patterns.
