The Sponsored Products and Brands (SPB) team at Amazon Ads is reimagining the advertising landscape through generative AI, revolutionizing how millions of customers discover products and engage with brands on Amazon and beyond. We're seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager to spearhead our infrastructure resource management in the Sponsored Products and Brands organization. This strategic role combines financial acumen with technical expertise to optimize our infrastructure investments and drive operational excellence.
Key job responsibilities
* Lead end-to-end infrastructure budget planning and execution, partnering with engineering teams and Finance to develop quarterly and annual infrastructure strategies
* Analyze infrastructure expenditure patterns, identifying cost drivers and implementing innovative solutions to optimize resource allocation
* Architect and execute cost-reduction initiatives that enhance operational efficiency while maintaining service quality
* Develop and maintain robust reporting frameworks to provide critical insights to stakeholders and leadership
* Champion cross-functional collaboration, coordinating multiple teams to achieve strategic objectives
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience in AWS products and services, including pricing and technical knowledge
- Experience communicating effectively with senior leadership
- Experience working on budget planning, tracking and driving cost saving initiatives

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
