Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in San Diego, California. This is a Contract to permanent position within a dynamic non-profit organization. The role requires someone with strong accounting expertise to manage financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, and support organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

• Perform balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain an accurate general ledger.

• Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing and collections.

• Oversee expense reimbursement procedures to ensure timely and accurate processing.

• Handle accounts payable tasks, including vendor payments and reconciliation.

• Utilize Sage accounting software to perform daily and periodic financial operations.

• Collaborate with team members to support budgeting processes and financial forecasting.

• Conduct financial data analysis to identify trends and support decision-making.

• Maintain organized and accurate financial records for auditing purposes. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.

• Proficiency in preparing journal entries and managing general ledger accounts.

• Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Experience with balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting.

• Familiarity with Sage accounting software and advanced Excel skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
