    Job Description: Accounts Payable:

    The Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk is responsible for handling essential accounting and administrative tasks related to the organization's payables. This position ensures that financial records are accurate and that payments are processed efficiently and in compliance with company policies. The AP Clerk plays a vital role in maintaining strong relationships with vendors and supporting the organization’s overall financial operations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Invoice Processing: Receive, verify, and process vendor invoices and expense reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.

    + Payments: Prepare and issue payments to vendors through checks, electronic funds transfers (EFTs), or ACH payments, adhering to payment schedules.

    + Account Reconciliation: Perform monthly and annual reconciliation of vendor accounts and records, addressing any discrepancies.

    + Documentation Management: Maintain organized records of invoices, payments, credit memos, and other financial documents for auditing purposes.

    + Communication: Serve as point of contact for vendors, resolving inquiries and discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.

    + Assist with Month-End Closing: Collaborate with the accounting team to support the month-end and year-end closing processes.

    + Compliance: Ensure all accounts payable activities align with regulatory requirements and internal company policies.

    Requirements

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting or related field preferred.

    + 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable or similar financial roles.

    + Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.

    + Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

    + Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    + Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
