    What you'll do

     

    The ROPS Finance Coordinator is primarily responsible for monitoring Bassett-held ROPS Rebate funds. They would track and monitor spending and provide direction on when to increase/decrease spending as appropriate, communicate with finance and prepare internal reports as needed. They would also monitor ROPS Rebate funds held elsewhere. This would include coordinating with states to obtain funds and outline program rules, tracking and monitoring spending and providing direction on when to increase/decrease spending as appropriate. They would communicate with state contacts, and prepare internal reports as required. They would be responsible for running and distributing financial reports on a regular basis. In addition, they would provide back-up coverage for the Hotline Coordinator as needed. They would also Coordinate/assist with day-to-day activities including development/distribution of new communications, promotions, protocols, proofreading, legislative communications, fundraising, website updates, etc. The individual will be reportable to the NYCAMH Manager and will meet with other project staff and PI on a weekly or biweekly basis to review progress and address problems. These tasks involve intimate knowledge of all grant narratives and budgets, as well as capability for interfacing with the agricultural community. The ROPS Finance Coordinator will respond to calls regarding ROPS retrofitting and assist farmers in the absence of the Hotline Coordinator, or as needed, in every aspect of this process, ensuring that all participant encounters with the program are positive. The position will also require assistance with research and other activities as time permits.

     

    + Performs research using established procedures or assists in developing new ones using current literature or own innovation, making necessary adaptations

    + Responsible for creating and implementing the annual operating plan for the program in which they are in charge

    + Coordinates and tracks ROPS fund expenditures and budget allocations with minimal supervision

    + Demonstrates the ability to plan, prepare and carry out projects independently

    + Demonstrates ability to prepare and maintain confidential reports

    + Independently interacts with business contacts

    + Develops new business contacts

    + Prepares required reports as dictated by the project

    + Participates in discussion of the work and its interpretations

    + Schedules appointments and collects data as dictated by the project

    + Maintains contacts with internal and external partners

    + Maintains good working relationships with other departments to support the work

    + Independently plans and implements all aspects of Program

    + Maintains files pertaining to projects, particularly those pertaining to fund commitments, protocol, meeting notes, etc.

    + Identifies ROPS website maintenance and upgrade needs and works with leadership to initiate these functions

     

    What we need from you

    Education:

    + 2 Year/Associate Degree or an additional 2 years of experience in an office setting in lieu of degree, required

    Experience:

    + Experience with Excel spreadsheets, preferred

    + Organizational skills, preferred

    + Farming background, preferred

    Licensure/Certifications:

    + Current NYS Driver's License, required

    Skills:

    Physical Requirements:

    + Medium Work - Exerting up to 50 lbs. for force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects

    + Occasional balancing, climbing, crouching, grasping, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motion, standing, stooping, walking

    + Frequent typing/clerical/dexterity, hearing, seeing/monitor/computer use, talking, visual acuity (color, depth, perception)

    Working Conditions:

    + Occasional extreme temperatures, noise, vibration, wet and/or humid, dust, fumes, gases, mists, odors

    Travel:

    + Occasional Travel - The job may require travel from time- to-time, but not on a regular basis

    Pay Range

     

    Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards. The above compensation range represents a good faith belief of the compensation range by Bassett Healthcare Network, and its entities and affiliates, at the time of this posting or advertisement.

    Pay Range Minimum:

    USD $25.23/Hr.

    Pay Range Maximum:

    USD $37.85/Hr.
