    Job Title: Non - CDL Driver

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Non-CDL Driver to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods, maintaining excellent customer service and communication throughout the process.

    Responsibilities

    + Load, secure, and unload products safely while maintaining a route schedule.

    + Receive and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery of goods to ensure timely service.

    + Handle CODs and delivery manifests accurately.

    + Conduct vehicle inspections both pre- and post-delivery, ensuring compliance with all federal and state regulations.

    + Maintain excellent attendance and reliability.

    + Solve practical problems with minimal supervision.

    Essential Skills

    + High school diploma or equivalent with prior delivery experience.

    + Possession of a medical examiner's certificate and the ability to maintain a satisfactory driving record within company policy limits.

    + Ability to become certified through OSHA in Basic Hazmat, Driver Specific Hazmat, and Security Awareness.

    + Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + CDL is preferred but not required.

    + Hazmat training is a plus.

    Work Environment

     

    This role requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, balancing, and using arms and hands to reach, pull, push, clasp, and move various materials. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The shift schedule starts between 12am - 4am and ends between 12pm - 4pm.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Old Lyme, CT.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $7.25 - $7.25/hr.
