    Overivew

     

    The Machine Operator will be responsible for running secondary functions in the fabrication department. They will operate a variety of machinery to perform tasks such as loading parts, running machines, offloading parts, and checking quality. While some basic assembly may be required, most assembly occurs in the production department. The ideal candidate will have 1+ year of Machine Operating experience in a manufacturing setting.

     

    The typical schedule is 5am-3:30pm (Monday - Thursday) for 1st shift and 6pm-5:30am (Monday - Thursday) for 3rd shift.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate machinery to perform secondary functions in the fabrication department.

    + Engage in secondary functions including grinding, polishing, drilling holes, deburring, measuring, and basic assembly.

    + Load material, run parts, and check quality to ensure standards are met.

    Essential Skills

    + 1+ year of machine operating experience.

    + Ability to lift 50 lbs, though most products are light and larger in size.

    + Proficiency in measuring and operating machinery.

    + Experience in a production environment is required.

    + Experience in metal manufacturing is beneficial but not mandatory.

    The facility is large and divided into assembly/warehouse areas, a lab setting for circuit board manufacturing, and a fabrication area. It is well-lit, clean, temperature-controlled, and organized throughout

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carol Stream, IL.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.27 - $19.27/hr.
