Equipment Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Join our team as an Equipment Maintenance Technician, where you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of proprietary equipment, including extrusion blow molding machines, stretch blow molding machines, injection molding machines, packaging systems, and automated palletizers. Your role will also involve general facility maintenance to ensure seamless operations.

Responsibilities

+ Install and set up proprietary equipment, ensuring optimal functionality.

+ Conduct regular preventive maintenance tasks on machinery to prolong equipment lifespan.

+ Perform minor modifications and adjustments to enhance performance and accommodate specific production requirements.

+ Utilize predictive maintenance methodologies to identify potential issues before they lead to downtime.

+ Diagnose technical problems and malfunctions in molding machines using systematic approaches.

+ Collaborate with technical experts and utilize advanced troubleshooting techniques to address complex issues.

+ Execute repairs on molding machines, restoring equipment functionality promptly.

+ Contribute to general facility maintenance tasks beyond equipment-specific responsibilities.

+ Assist in maintaining a safe and organized working environment.

Essential Skills

+ Electrical troubleshooting

+ Mechanical troubleshooting

+ Preventive maintenance

+ Proficiency in reading schematics and blueprints

+ PLC troubleshooting

+ Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics

+ Welding skills

+ Knowledge of 3-phase electrical systems

+ Industrial maintenance experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in maintenance repair

+ Familiarity with motors and their maintenance

The role is based inside a plastic injection molding plant specializing in plastic bottles. The environment is fast-paced and requires adherence to safety standards. Employees work with state-of-the-art equipment and are expected to maintain a professional appearance.
