Job Title: Stockyard Technician

Job Description

Join our team at a concrete manufacturing plant where we work closely with utility companies, providing custom work for highway rails, storm drains, and light poles. As a Stockyard Technician, you will be integral in preparing and patching concrete products, ensuring their quality and readiness for delivery.

Responsibilities

+ Clean, prepare, and patch concrete products.

+ Remove concrete products from the production area to the stockyard.

+ Comply with all applicable rules and regulations, with a strong emphasis on safety.

+ Operate oxy/acetylene equipment and other hand tools, drills, and core drills.

+ Load and unload fleet equipment as guided by dispatch and stockyard leader.

+ Move truck tractors and flatbeds for proper loading.

+ Operate the SMV loader and boom trucks to facilitate loading and unloading.

+ Maintain cleanliness and perform housekeeping operations in the work area.

+ Regular attendance is essential for job performance.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with concrete patching and cleaning.

+ Ability to operate forklifts and heavy lifting equipment.

+ Experience in rigging and inventory management.

+ Basic math skills, including fractions, and ability to read tape measures.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

+ Knowledge and experience in concrete, construction, or landscaping.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with hand and power tools.

+ Good communication skills to read and comprehend instructions.

+ Critical thinking skills for decision-making and problem-solving.

+ Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting up to 75 pounds, climbing, and overhead reaching.

Work Environment

Our facility, established in 1960, focusing on manufacturing precast concrete for the utility and transportation industry. The work environment is similar to an indoor construction site, where you might be exposed to high places, outside weather conditions, and moderate noise levels. Expect occasional exposure to wet conditions, moving parts, and airborne particles. Employees are advised to wear steel-toe work boots, long pants, and a t-shirt to ensure safety and comfort while performing duties.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of SPRING CITY, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
