Job Title: Inventory Controller
Schedule: Full-Time | Onsite | 1st Shift (Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM)
Position Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Inventory Controller to join our team at our Knoxville, TN lab. This full-time, onsite role is essential to maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in shipping, receiving, and inventory management, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced lab environment.
Key Responsibilities
+ Perform physical and administrative tasks related to shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing materials, specimens, and equipment.
+ Use computer systems, applications, and phone communication to manage inventory tasks and ensure timely follow-up.
+ Receive and document incoming materials and specimens, reconciling deliveries with packing lists.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve delays in inbound and outbound sample shipments.
+ Organize and inspect inventory in designated storage areas, ensuring proper distribution and stock levels.
+ Maintain inventory security and accountability.
+ Prepare shipments to other locations and maintain accurate shipping records.
+ Follow all safety protocols, including Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) policies and proper use of PPE.
+ Safely handle biohazardous waste and maintain cleanliness of lab facilities and surrounding areas.
+ Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies.
+ Maintain confidentiality and a professional demeanor.
+ Lift and carry items up to 50 lbs as needed.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
+ High School diploma or equivalent
+ Basic computer proficiency
+ Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs
+ Strong comprehension of written and verbal instructions
+ Experience in shipping, receiving, inventory, or logistics
Work Environment
This role is based 100% onsite in a dynamic lab setting. It involves frequent walking, standing, and bending, with occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and bloodborne pathogens. PPE is required in designated areas.

This is a Contract position based out of Knoxville, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.30 - $16.30/hr.
