Position Summary

Greenwood schools are seeking a compassionate and experienced School Psychologist to support students across all grade levels. This vital role focuses on helping students overcome emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges while fostering a positive and inclusive school environment. The School Psychologist will conduct assessments, provide counseling and crisis intervention, and collaborate with educators, families, and administrators to ensure students receive the support they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

+ Assessment & Evaluation:

Conduct psychological and psycho-educational assessments to identify student strengths and challenges.

+ Intervention & Support:

Develop and implement strategies, including individual or group counseling, to address behavioral, emotional, and learning needs.

+ IEP Development:

Participate in the creation and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.

+ Collaboration:

Work closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to coordinate services and support student success.

+ Crisis Prevention & Response:

Provide leadership and direct services during crises, and help develop school-wide prevention and mental health programs.

+ Consultation & Advocacy:

Advise staff on effective interventions and accommodations, and advocate for students’ mental health and educational needs.

Qualifications

+ Active School Psychologist license in the state of Indiana.

+ Master’s degree in Psychology (preferred).

+ Experience with pediatric and adolescent populations (preferred).

+ Compliance with professional standards of practice.

+ Current CPR certification (if applicable).

+ TB screening and health certificate (as required by contract/state).

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.

+ Must be at least 18 years of age.
