    Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities You will serve as a technical expert with the responsibilities for exploitation, analysis, characterization, and technical reporting of explosive device electronics in support of command operations, readiness and training functions. You will perform technical analysis on electronic devices from improvised threat devices, unmanned systems, and foreign electrical assemblies for arming, firing, programming, physical, and material source characteristics and design analysis. You will analyze new trends in technology ensure emerging threats are researched and leadership informed on technical aspects of the threats. You will produce technical intelligence reports for Intelligence Community (IC). You will serve as POC for document and media exploitation (DOMEX), maintain DOMEX equipment, and provide training to command personnel. You will perform electronic data recovery on multiple devices (unmanned systems, GPS modules, software defined radios and integrated circuits) through advanced exploitation techniques. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying technical electronic theories, concepts, and practices performing technical analysis of digital and analog electronics for responsibilities related to exploitation, analysis, characterization, and technical reporting of explosive device electronics in support of command operations, readiness and training functions. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. This flyer announcement uses the STRL Direct Support direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service. You will serve as a TECHNICIAN (ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN) in the Expeditionary Exploitation Unit One (EXU-1), Civilian Personnel ORG (XN2), Intel Department of Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $156,755). This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-13 and GS-14. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees. A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
