The role you'll contribute:

Provides visionary leadership and strategic oversight of prevention and control. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based strategies to reduce healthcare-associated infections (HAIs), improve patient and employee safety, and ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements. Performs ongoing surveillance, monitors outbreak reports, and delivers targeted training to healthcare teams to reduce the spread of infectious diseases. Working collaboratively with executive leadership, clinical teams, and community stakeholders, the Executive Director drives innovation, fosters a culture of safety, and promotes best practices that safeguard the health of patients, staff, and the community.

The value you'll bring to the team:

+ Develops and implements system-wide infection prevention vision, strategic priorities, and standardized best practices across the Division, impacting care delivery in all hospital settings.

+ Including but not limited to inpatient, Eds, OSEDs, surgery, Nutritional Services.

+ Chairs the Infection Prevention Committee in partnership with the Infection Prevention Medical Director, ensuring accountability for 100% data accuracy and performance reporting to the C-suite, Board Committees, and regulatory agencies.

+ Represents at regional, state, and national levels as an infection control authority, providing expert consultation to medical staff, administration, and operational leaders to advance evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed** **:

+ Bachelor's [Required]

+ 5 years of experience in Infection Control and Epidemiology [Required]

+ 4 years of experience in program development [Required]

+ 4 years of leadership experience [Required]

+ Infection Control Certification (CIC) [Required]

+ Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC)

+ Certified Board of Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) [Preferred]

+ Six Sigma [Preferred]
