GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Product Owner (PO) is accountable for development and execution of the strategic vision for a defined set of programs and services, in close partnership with Clinical Leaders. They will be responsible for generating alignment on key business decisions impacting the product to ensure it supports organizational strategic and financial goals.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Drives identification of business capabilities needed to align with the product vision for a specific set of clinical programs and services.
+ Establishes program and service level KPIs, monitors ongoing performance, and identifies enhancements, when needed, to improve performance to goal.
+ Integrates insights from customer conversations, stakeholder feedback, and competitive research to identify product opportunities and differentiators.
+ Provides input on user experience and design by working with key stakeholders to test product features.
+ Communicates the product vision to stakeholders and advocates for funding as necessary to meet key strategic objectives.
+ Continuously evaluates programs and services within their portfolio to ensure it meets market needs, is positioned competitively, and is delivering the value expected.
+ Identifies and documents required enhancements and prioritizes appropriately, ensuring key stakeholders are aligned with timelines, releases, and backlog roadmap.
+ Creates and owns one to two (1-2) year product roadmaps for each of the programs and services within their product portfolio.
+ Determines scope, quantifies value, determines ROI, and develops business cases for any program or service enhancements to secure sign off from stakeholders.
+ Develops and maintains product backlogs, continuously evaluating prioritization of development work that drives outcomes related to strategic objectives of the programs and services in their portfolio.
+ Leads design and implementation of program and service enhancements, which may include development of new complimentary services.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
+ Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field required.
+ At least three (3) years of product management or product development for large and complex problems, preferably in managed care or health insurance with working knowledge of product and project management principles.
+ Experience with Care and Case management services and processes preferred. High level understanding of health insurance business functions (Sales, Effective communicator who is comfortable talking to a wide range of stakeholders from technical staff to executives to understand their needs and distill insights that drive product strategy and performance.
+ Experience with customer journey mapping development.
+ Experience working in an Agile Development environment.
+ High energy: strong leadership, analytical, project planning and staff motivation/coordination skills to enable efficient, timely task completion of deliverables that meet or exceed project expectations.
+ An excellent communicator and motivator.
+ Proficient technical and software skills.
+ Opportunity to work remote.
