    Key Tasks

    The Adaptation Specialist is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and technical support for custom power wheelchairs. This role requires a strong understanding of product configurations, adaptation processes, and customer needs. The specialist interprets both standard and complex adaptation requests, processes orders, and collaborates with internal teams—including Engineering, R&D, Production, and Customer Service—to ensure accurate, safe, and timely fulfillment of wheelchair parts and custom adaptations. Success in this role depends on attention to detail, technical comprehension, and a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

    Customer Communication & Support:

    Respond to inquiries via email and phone regarding adaptations requests.

     

    Assist customers and dealers in identifying correct components based on wheelchair models and specific needs.

     

    Provide clear, professional communication to clarify requests and resolve issues.

    Special Adaptation Management:

    Review and interpret both simple and complex adaptation requests with precision.

     

    Analyze how requested components integrate with existing chair systems.

     

    Compile data from internal systems, design documents, and customer notes to create accurate adaptation sheets.

     

    Ensure all requests meet company standards, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    Communicate with Engineering, R&D, Production, and Customer Service to confirm specifications and feasibility.

     

    Stay current on product lines, part compatibility, and new adaptation options.

     

    Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues and suggesting process enhancements.

    Your Background

     

    High school diploma or equivalent required.

     

    Associate or bachelor’s degree in a technical, mechanical, or healthcare-related field preferred.

     

    3–5 years in technical support, product configuration is preferred.
