    Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Summer 2026 Manufacturing Engineer \(Tooling/NC\) Intern\. Manufacturing Engineers provide support for all stages of a platform’s program lifecycle\. The Manufacturing Engineering \(ME\) discipline is consulted and responsible for manufacturing plan development, full\-rate production standup and support, and post\-delivery sustainment and modification activities\. This position will be embedded in detailed manufacturing plans, concepts, processes, and procedures\. In this role, you will be working with shop floor personnel, design engineering, quality engineering, industrial engineering, and other engineering disciplines to support production of our various platforms\. A successful candidate can expect to thrive in a fast\-paced environment, enjoy working in a production environment with operators, be self\-motivated, take initiative, and have strong work ethic and have a learning and continuous improvement attitude\.

     

    Must be a US Citizen\. This position is at a facility that requires special access\.

    Basic Qualifications:

    Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree relating to Engineering \(Manufacturing, Aerospace, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Industrial\)

     

    Previous experience \(or expressed interest\) working in an Operations role in a manufacturing environment\.

     

    Strong oral and written communication skills\.

    Desired Skills:

    Prior experience in a related industry preferred\.

     

    Demonstrated experience developing manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control\.

     

    Demonstrated knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and principles as well as work measurements and labor standards

     

    Demonstrated interpersonal and collaboration skills required in a team environment\.

    Demonstrated proficiency with MS office, Excel, and PowerPoint

    **Ability to Work Remotely:** Onsite Full\-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility\.

    **Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.
