    About the Role:

    As the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for more complex accounting activities associated with maintaining the general ledger and for the production of various resultant financial statements. You'll participate in complex general accounting projects, administer approved accounting policies & practices to ensure that financial & operating reports accurately reflect the condition of the business & provide reliable information necessary to control the operations. This person will closely inspect financial statements and documents for conformance with accounting requirements and principles.

    What You’ll Do:

    + Create month-end accounting entries and reconciles discrepancies; posts to GL and reviews variances to budget.

    + Examine and evaluate teams work product for accuracy and completeness. Identifies training needs of subordinate staff and provides technical guidance.

    + Prepare, review and approve journal entries prepared by the accounting group.

    + Responsible for supervision of general and sub ledger maintenance and preparation of operation and financial statements.

    + Research and respond to accounting inquiries.

    + Provide technical advice and training on accounting systems to staff.

    + Ensure that systems are in compliance with acceptable accounting practices and applicable regulations.

    + May assist with audit procedures.

    + Provide technical advice and training on accounting systems to staff.

    + Participate in system conversions / enhancement providing scoping information, testing and feedback, and training others.

    + Ensure that systems and procedures are in compliance with company policies, acceptable accounting practices, and applicable regulations.

    + Maintain accounting processes and procedures which comply with generally accepted accounting principles, tax requirements, SEC requirements, and management reporting requirements.

    + Lead by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.

    + Provide technical advice and training on accounting systems to staff.

    + Participate in system conversions / enhancement providing scoping information, testing and feedback, and training others.

    + Ensure that systems and procedures are in compliance with company policies, acceptable accounting practices, and applicable regulations.

    + Maintain accounting processes and procedures which comply with generally accepted accounting principles, tax requirements, SEC requirements, and management reporting requirements.

    + Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.

    + 7+ years of relevant experience, including public accounting experience (preferably Big 4) and exposure to large public companies with international operations.

    + Experience in technical accounting research and assessments over a variety of topics including business combinations (ASC 805).

    + 3+ years of supervisory experience.

    + Overall understanding and experience in application of US GAAP and SEC financial reporting requirements including financial statements and financial statement footnotes.

    + External and internal audit/SOX compliance.

    + Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex financial information and transactions and accounting principles.

    + Strong analytical and problem resolution skills, including the ability to research and simplify complex situations.

    + Ability to independently research complex accounting transactions/issues.

    + Ability to problem-solve, both independently and working as a team.

    + Advanced analytical and quantitative skills.

    + Comfort in drawing upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.
