Job Title: Estimator
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for responding to requests for quotes, assessing risks associated with production processes, financials, and environmental factors, and ensuring that all necessary information for product production is available. The role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to interact effectively with customers and suppliers.
Responsibilities
+ Respond to Request for Quotes promptly and accurately.
+ Assess risks related to production processes, financials, and environmental factors.
+ Audit customer manufacturing criteria, such as drawings and specifications, to ensure all necessary information is available.
+ Ensure that all quotes meet Business Management System requirements and Operating Procedures.
+ Verify certification to process required specifications using the qualification matrix in the BMS.
+ Ensure all materials meet environmental and safety requirements.
+ Determine material requirements, costs, and lead times, procuring pricing from outside suppliers as needed.
+ Maintain email documentation to support your quotes and prepare them for customers.
+ Adjust labor standards, materials, and prices when appropriate.
+ Interact effectively with customers.
+ Perform aerospace and commercial estimating.
+ Follow procedures and processes set forth by Business Management System (BMS), AS9100, ISO9000, ISO14001, and relevant Mill Specs.
+ Adhere to work instructions.
+ Load production plans into the MRP system.
+ Develop and provide job routings for commercial products based on required manufacturing processes, including customer specifications.
+ Audit customer purchase orders for revisions, prices, quantities, lead times, and special process requirements.
+ Ensure all information required for production is available in-house or can be supplied by customers.
+ Audit quality clause requirements and flow them down to production.
+ Interface with customers, suppliers, and floor supervisors regarding product configuration and quality.
+ Observe and promote quality control procedures within the department.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in estimation, quoting, and auditing.
+ Experience with Mastercam, Catia V5, and Vericut.
+ Understanding of raw material handling and procurement.
+ Ability to interact with customers and suppliers.
+ Familiarity with AS9100, ISO9000, and ISO14001 standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Successful background in quoting CNC machine parts.
+ Experience in the aerospace industry.
+ Knowledge of CNC machines, work instructions, and waterjet technology.
+ Proficiency in estimating software and pricing/bidding processes.
Work Environment
The work environment involves collaborating with a team of professionals and interfacing with customers and suppliers. The role requires adherence to strict quality control procedures and industry standards, including AS9100, ISO9000, and ISO14001. The position involves working with advanced technologies, such as Mastercam and Catia V5, in a setting that values precision and detail.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seattle, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
