    Job Title: Electrical Superintendent

     

    Projects are within 2 hours of Edwardsville, IL.

    Job Description

    As an Electrical Superintendent, you will be responsible for executing specific inspections on materials, equipment, and construction/installation activities on site. You will issue relevant Quality Records and, when necessary, write and send non-conformance reports to the QC Supervisor. This role includes checking cable laying, cable identification, and performing all relevant loop checks.

    Responsibilities

    + Execute inspections on materials, equipment, and construction/installation activities.

    + Issue relevant Quality Records and non-conformance reports when necessary.

    + Check and verify cable laying and identification.

    + Perform relevant loop checks.

    + Inspect systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair.

    + Ensure compliance with governing codes.

    + Verify that cable trays and conduit runs are properly supported and wiring installed correctly.

    + Confirm instruments and cable glands are installed correctly.

    + Ensure electrical layout and installation meets job specifications.

    + Convey electrical deficiencies to assigned teams and supervisors through documented inspections.

    + Assist with building training content to ensure workforce is properly educated.

    + Focus on process improvement and identifying cost-saving measures.

    + Continue education on governing electrical codes and manufacturing practices.

    + Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes.

    + Troubleshoot electrical components, wiring diagrams, transformers, motors, panels, and circuits.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in electrical construction and quality assurance.

    + Knowledge in construction management and project management.

    + Experience in solar projects.

    + Skill in electrical inspection and project management.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience in inspecting systems, equipment, or components for hazards, defects, or necessary adjustments.

    + Ability to verify cable trays, conduit runs, and wiring installations.

    + Proficiency in verifying instruments, cable glands, and electrical layouts.

    + Experience in conveying electrical deficiencies through documented inspections.

    + Capability to assist in building training content.

    + Process improvement mindset with focus on cost-saving measures.

    + Commitment to continuing education on governing electrical codes and practices.

    + Proficiency in using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes.

    + Understanding of troubleshooting electrical components and systems.

    Work Environment

    The work will take place onsite at a greenfield Solar Farm with a capacity of 110 MW. The project will be executed in four sections and is expected to take a year to complete. The role requires the ability to move from project to project site as needed.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of Edwardsville, IL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr.
