The Electrical CAD Technician will support technical teams comprising detailers, designers, and engineers to deliver exceptional detail on various projects. This role involves developing computer-aided drafting design solutions, preparing drawings, and revising existing engineering drawings from specific sketches or layouts.
Responsibilities
+ Assist in preparing and revising plot drawings.
+ Adhere to company and client drafting standards and procedures.
+ Follow the drafting practices of the chosen discipline.
+ Draft design and documentation for different projects.
+ Utilize standard drafting detail programs for tasks.
+ Contribute to continuous drafting detail improvement efforts.
+ Research solutions to project concerns and recommend design problem solutions.
+ Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum High School Diploma/GED and coursework in drafting technology.
+ Specialized CAD certification preferred.
+ Minimum GPA of 3.0.
+ Experience with AutoCAD; proficiency in MicroStation, 2D, 3D, and Inventor is a significant plus.
+ Relevant experience ranging from 0 to a maximum of 4 years.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
+ Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
+ Demonstrated leadership skills.
+ Self-motivated and eager to learn with an aptitude to grow and develop within the field.
Work Environment
This is an onsite position with no hybrid or remote work options. The role is eligible for a flexible 9/80 work schedule.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.20 - $27.30/hr.
