This role involves inspecting a wide variety of parts, assemblies, tooling fixtures, and materials to ensure compliance with customer requirements, company specifications, and quality standards. The position requires the maintenance, processing, and compilation of confidential and sensitive electronic and hard copy reports, records, and statistics. Assignments are typically non-routine and require judgment and assessment to resolve moderately complex issues. Inspections may occur at customer or vendor sites.
Responsibilities
+ Inspect parts, components, assemblies, and materials to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines such as Military Standards, ASTM, and ANSI.
+ Provide various electronic and hard copy reports of inspections and notify appropriate parties, including project engineers.
+ Observe testing and provide oversight to verify compliance with requirements.
+ Use hand gages and other automated gaging tools.
+ Utilize SAP systems daily to support Quality Department inspection activities.
+ Complete First Article Inspection Reports in accordance with SAE AS9102 requirements.
+ Interact with and provide responses to regulatory agencies and customers during audits and reviews.
+ Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
+ Observe all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations whenever business is conducted on behalf of the company.
+ Work safely in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
+ Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Essential Skills
+ 5+ years hands-on inspection experience.
+ Proficiency in electrical inspection, quality control, and quality assurance.
+ Experience in wiring, troubleshooting, installation, and large assemblies.
+ Prior certification in IPC 620, IPC 610, and J-STD.
+ Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
+ Ability to perform mathematical computations.
+ Good communication skills.
+ Ability to interpret complex information and respond to various issues.
+ Good computer skills, including SAP usage.
+ Proficient in IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC-A-610.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Associate's degree, trade school certificate, military training, or equivalent in quality inspections or certification by a professional group such as ASQ or AWS.
+ Three or more years of progressive experience in electrical, mechanical, or electromechanical inspection.
+ Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
+ Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, and DOD quality assurance program requirements is desirable.
+ Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
+ Ability to work extended hours as required.
+ Adaptability to various working conditions such as heights, high voltage electricity, or radioactive materials.
Work Environment
This position supports onsite work in Tupelo, MS, following a 4/10 schedule. The work environment involves operating under established safety procedures and practices, potentially involving exposure to heights, high voltage electricity, or radioactive materials.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Iuka, MS.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $45.00/hr.
