    Job Title: Maintenance Technician

    Job Description

    As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment to ensure smooth operations. You will handle work orders through an online program, respond to equipment breakdowns such as replacing motors and rebuilding pumps, and locate and request necessary parts.

    Responsibilities

    + Maintain and repair equipment in a food processing environment.

    + Manage work orders through an online system.

    + Respond to equipment breakdowns, including replacing motors, rebuilding pumps, and replacing damaged belts.

    + Locate and request necessary parts for repairs.

    + Perform preventative maintenance and ensure compliance with GMP standards.

    + Conduct daily boiler blowdown as part of shift responsibilities.

    Essential Skills

    + 3 years of experience in food processing maintenance mechanics, including pumps, conveyors, and gearboxes.

    + Proficiency in using hand tools.

    + Knowledge of boiler operations.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bilingual in English and Spanish.

    + Experience with electrical work, such as changing disconnects or motors.

    + Skills in fabrication.

    + Experience with PLCs and VFDs is a plus.

    Work Environment

     

    The work schedule varies with shifts including Day (starting at 6 AM or 6:30 PM), Swing (2 PM - 2:20 AM), and Grave (10 PM - 10:30 AM). From May to September, expect to work six days a week with 10 to 12-hour shifts, switching to a five-day workweek afterward. Shifts may be Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday. During the Swing shift, you'll work with Mechanics 1 and 2, while on the Grave shift, you'll work independently with on-call support if needed. Dress code requires no additional PPE.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Royal City, WA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
