    Job Title: CNC Operator

    Job Description

    As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for loading, processing, and unloading parts for various routine CNC milling or turning operations. You may be assigned to run multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously, maintaining standard operation of CNC equipment and performing basic machine offsets to ensure that manufactured parts conform to blueprint specifications.

    Responsibilities

    + Load, process, and unload parts for CNC milling or turning operations.

    + Run multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously as assigned.

    + Maintain standard operation of CNC equipment and perform basic machine offsets.

    + Continuously monitor parts for visual defects, such as burrs, nicks, dents, or scratches, and correct as needed.

    + Change tools according to the tool life management schedule or as needed.

    + Perform periodic inspections using basic gauges, including micrometers, calipers, go/no-go pins, indicators, and other basic fixtures.

    + Perform various preventive maintenance activities and daily inspections of equipment.

    + Maintain disciplined 6S checklist routines for a safe and clean working environment.

    + Perform other related duties as assigned by the production supervisor.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 3 years' experience running CNCs in a similar or manufacturing environment.

    + Related CNC courses or on-the-job training.

    + High School Diploma.

    + Ability to follow written instructions and basic understanding of blueprint reading.

    + Proficient communication skills, including verbal communication.

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Haven, CT.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.80 - $22.80/hr.
