Job Title: Construction Laborer
Job Description
Join our team as a Construction Laborer, working on diverse utility and site construction projects. The role requires hands-on involvement in road, site, civil, and utility construction tasks, demanding a strong commitment to safety and a willingness to work overtime.
Responsibilities
+ Assist with excavation, trenching, and site preparation for utility installations.
+ Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment.
+ Operate basic hand and power tools safely.
+ Support pipefitters, electricians, and heavy equipment operators as needed.
+ Perform backfilling, compacting, and grading to restore work areas.
+ Install and maintain temporary structures, such as barricades and safety signage.
+ Follow safety protocols and ensure a clean, hazard-free work environment.
+ Assist in final site cleanup and preparation for inspections.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 2 years experience working as a construction laborer.
+ Experience with site construction, utility construction, and civil construction.
+ Knowledge of sewer systems and pipe laying.
+ OSHA 10 certification.
+ Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
+ Basic knowledge of construction tools and techniques.
+ Strong work ethic, reliability, and teamwork skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Previous experience in construction or utility work is preferred.
+ Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors.

Work Environment
Work is conducted 100% outdoors in varying weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind. The schedule is Monday through Friday with occasional Saturday work and frequent overtime. Teams range from 1-10 members, and you will report to a foreman or project superintendent. Safety is paramount, and appropriate safety gear must be worn at all times.

This is a Permanent position based out of Syracuse, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
