    Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Specialist

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Shipping and Receiving Specialist to manage incoming shipments and maintain inventory accuracy. This role is essential in ensuring that all goods are properly inspected, recorded, and stored.

    Responsibilities

    + Inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies.

    + Verify received items against purchase orders and packing slips.

    + Record all incoming items in the inventory system.

    + Coordinate with the inventory team to ensure stock is properly stored and recorded.

    + Report any damaged or missing items to the supervisor and vendors.

    + Operate computer software such as Microsoft D365 and coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups.

    + Maintain a clean and organized work area.

    + Assist with inventory counts and perform regular stock audits.

    + Organize products within the warehouse to optimize space and efficiency.

    + Keep track of materials and supplies needed for the production floor.

    Essential Skills

    + Previous shipping and receiving experience is required.

    + Proficiency in using Microsoft D365.

    + Strong organizational skills.

    + Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with SAP and logistics operations.

    + Ability to perform physical labor, including standing, walking, and lifting heavy items for extended periods.

    Work Environment

     

    The role is based in a paper processing and manufacturing facility with exposure to varying temperatures and a loud production floor. The shift is from 3 pm to 11 pm. All employees must wear steel toe or composite shoes at all times.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Covington, TN.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $17.15 - $18.05/hr.
