Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a Contract to permanent employment basis in Meriden, Connecticut. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing financial transactions, coding invoices, and reconciling accounts. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment while ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of accounts payable processes.

Responsibilities:

• Process and record invoices accurately, ensuring proper coding and adherence to company standards.

• Conduct account reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

• Manage check runs, including timely preparation and distribution of payments.

• Perform 3-way matching processes to validate invoices against purchase orders and receipts.

• Enter and code invoices into accounting systems with precision and attention to detail.

• Handle general ledger entries related to accounts payable transactions.

• Assist in processing Form 1099 and credit applications as needed.

• Utilize accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel to perform daily tasks.

• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to address and resolve payment-related issues.

• Maintain organized records of all accounts payable activities for audit and reporting purposes. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related role.

• Proficiency in invoice processing, coding, and reconciliation.

• Familiarity with accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong understanding of 3-way matching, purchase orders, and general ledger entries.

• Experience with check processing and Form 1099 preparation.

• Ability to handle high volumes of data entry with accuracy and efficiency.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

• Knowledge of credit applications and vendor relationship management is a plus.
