    Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Houston, Texas. This is a long-term contract position where you will play a vital role in managing financial transactions and ensuring the accuracy of accounts payable processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and excellent organizational skills.

    Responsibilities:

    • Process accounts payable transactions accurately and within designated timelines.

    • Assign appropriate codes to invoices, vouchers, expense reports, and check requests, ensuring compliance with established procedures.

    • Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to invoice processing and vendor accounts.

    • Perform reconciliation of vendor statements as needed to maintain accurate records.

    • Address internal and external inquiries regarding account status, providing timely resolutions to discrepancies.

    • Organize, file, and maintain accounting documents, reports, and records for easy accessibility.

    • Collaborate with team members to gather and compile financial information for annual external audits.

    • Utilize financial software systems effectively for accounts payable tasks.

    • Support continuous improvement initiatives and adapt to process changes as required. Requirements • Associate’s degree or higher in Business, Accounting, or Finance.

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounts payable role.

    • Proficiency in financial and accounting software, including NetSuite.

    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively.

    • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial documentation.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

    • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.

    • Willingness to embrace new challenges and develop new skills.
